Downtown Revitalization Grant Opportunities

To better serve the community, the Economic Development Office has established several grant programs that distribute grant funding to areas crucial to Neligh's development.

City Funds:

The City of Neligh has set aside funding to assist the Neligh Old Mill District in its revitalization effort.

Design Planning Grant

  • $250 re-imbursement for design consultation with designer, intern-architect and/or architect
  • No match requirement

Micro-Facade Improvement Program

  • 75% re-imbursement grant for facade imporvements within the district
  • 75% match requirement
  • Maximum amount - $1,500 per project

Federal Funds:

The City of Neligh has recieved $350,000 in Federal CDBG Grant Funding to assist Neligh's Old Mill District in its revitalization effort.  All funding must be used by December 2018.

Old Mill District Building & Facade Improvement

  • 50% re-umbursement grant for facade improvement within the district
  • 50% match required 
  • Maximum amount - $25,000 per project
