Position Overview
Tallgrass Retreat is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to support our Grand Opening season. This is a W-2, hourly, seasonal position with flexible scheduling based on guest volume.
We operate at a high hospitality standard — closer to boutique lodging than traditional campground operations. The right candidate understands the difference between “clean” and “guest-ready.”
Scope of Work
The Housekeeper will maintain:
• 10 guest accommodation structures
• Central bathhouse facility
• Shared guest areas as assigned
During peak season, turnover volume may average 1–2 units per day, but flexibility is essential as this is a new operation and guest flow will vary.
Core Responsibilities
Guest Unit Turnover
• Complete full cleaning and reset between guest stays
• Sanitize bathrooms and all high-touch surfaces
• Strip beds and prepare linens for professional service
• Remake beds with fresh linens
• Restock amenities and guest supplies
Bathhouse & Shared Areas
• Clean bathhouse at minimum once daily (more if needed)
• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout shift
• Collect trash from units and transport to central dumpster point
Documentation & Reporting
• Fully document guest damage or irregularities
• Photograph and report issues using established franchise systems
• Notify management of maintenance needs immediately
Guest Interaction
• Engage warmly and professionally if approached by guests
• Represent the hospitality standards of a family-owned business
Standards of Performance
• Finish level: 9/10 — boutique hospitality standard
• No visible dirt, residue, clutter, or odors
• Turnovers completed thoroughly and on schedule
• Strong personal accountability
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 30–40 lbs
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather
• Comfortable working independently
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

• Seasonal position
• Schedule varies based on guest bookings
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Flexibility is essential as occupancy grows
Dress Code
Team members are expected to maintain a clean, professional appearance. Branded apparel may be provided to reflect our hospitality standards.
