Cowboy Trail
The Cowboy Trail runs directly through Neligh and is one of Nebraska’s most unique recreational assets. As part of one of the longest rail-to-trail systems in the country, it connects communities across northern Nebraska along a scenic and historic corridor.
The trail is ideal for walking, biking, running, and horseback riding, offering a safe and accessible experience for all ages. Its gentle grade and crushed limestone surface make it a year-round amenity for both residents and visitors.
Riverside Park
Located along the Elkhorn River, Riverside Park serves as a central hub for recreation, camping, and community activity.

Neligh Swimming Pool
The Neligh swimming pool is a popular seasonal destination that adds to the community’s strong family-friendly environment.

The Neligh pool is open when temperatures are above 70 degrees. The pool is open 7 days a week (during the season), 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m Monday through Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Family passes are available for $150 per season, and individual passes cost $80 per season. Daily entry fees are $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for students, and $1.00 for children 4 and under.
